There are some great pieces of music software out there, and many are free!!
Here is a list of some that I like to use:
- Audacity - this is a great open source free to use recording/editing suite - quite basic, but easy to use, excellent.
- Soundcloud - This enables you to upload your music, which allows you to embed into other website easily, smart and popular.
- Kristal Audio Engine - Free recording and editing suite, handy for ASIO and defeating the horrible echo.
- Guitar Chord Generator - Superb little program in the browser for finding out chord names and lots more
- Guitar Scales Finder - Another great program to find scales in different styles
- Guitar Tuner - Not only can you tune, but also in different keys
